Grooming Essentials For A Long Trip
When packing for a long trip that will last six days or more, it’s important to bring along grooming products that would be most essential to save on luggage space. While you can of course buy anything else you’d need during your travels, the following should be enough for most essential (and basics) needs while leaving you ready for each day: Read the rest of this entry
Travel Inspiration: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
In this edition of Travel Inspiration, see highlights from my trip to Puerto Vallarta that’ll make you want to visit (especially with this hurricane making its way up the East Coast this weekend). Located along the Pacific Ocean’s Bahía de Banderas Bay, I got to experience this Mexican hotspot for a few days last month and explore areas such as Old Vallarta, the resort section, the ocean waters and a little bit of a hidden paradise:

New York Gay Pride Guide 2014
If you’re visiting New York this Pride week, or thinking of making a last minute trip, here’s what you should check out:
Thursday (6/26)
The official kick-off for the weekend is the NYC Pride Rally, which is in its second year and will be at Pier 26 in Tribeca. Rupaul’s Drag Race alum Michelle Visage will host, with a performance with fellow Drag Race star, Sharon Needles, and Australian pop singer Betty Who. Free to the public, starts at 6:30 p.m.
BoiParty’s Penthaus Pride Mega Kick-Off Party (above) will take place at the Copacabana Rooftop. The weekly party has become one of the largest gay Thursday night parties since it started up last year. Where To Stay In Provincetown
Everyone should visit Provincetown, Massachusetts at least once, especially if you’re looking for a gay getaway in the north east coast that is not New York City nor Fire Island. I first visited a year ago during Memorial Day weekend, which wasn’t as crowded as during Independence Day weekend or the annual Carnival events (both great times to visit). Once you pick out when you want to visit P’town, you need to figure how to get there (and I already have a guide for that here) and where to stay. Lodging options range from seasonal guest houses to year-round hotels and resorts. Keep in mind the following when booking a stay (based on my article for Passport):
Harbor Hotel Provincetown
Located at the end of Commercial (the main street in town) on the quieter and artful east side of P’town, the Harbor Hotel offers 129 modern guest rooms and suites decked out in green and turquoise. Amenities of this pet-friendly hotel include free Wi-Fi throughout the structure, parking on-site, and a fire-pit (above) out in the front overlooking the sea. The hotel also offers a seasonal outdoor pool with Cabana Bar where several different cocktails and grill options are available. Inside the hotel’s lobby, you’ll find a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast (seasonal), an all-day coffee bar and the popular Whaler Lounge for more eats. 698 Commercial St. Tel: 508-487-1711. www.harborhotelptown.com
