In this edition of Travel Inspiration, see highlights from my trip to Puerto Vallarta that’ll make you want to visit (especially with this hurricane making its way up the East Coast this weekend). Located along the Pacific Ocean’s Bahía de Banderas Bay, I got to experience this Mexican hotspot for a few days last month and explore areas such as Old Vallarta, the resort section, the ocean waters and a little bit of a hidden paradise:

My home away from in Puerto Vallarta was the Olas Altas Suites in Old Vallarta (also known as La Zona Romantica), which an apartment styled property that I’ll be taking you through in another post along with more of its Michel restaurant.

In Old Vallarta you’ll find Los Muertos Pier, which opened up last January and features a colorful light show every night. From the pier you can take water taxis to visit other remote parts of the city, and of course get on board larger ships for some fun and adventure.

I got board on Diana’s Tours for a fun, well serviced daylong gay cruise excursion that took us along the coast, past the Los Arcos National Marine Park (where we stopped off did some snorkeling), to an isolated beach, another beach for lunch at a restaurant on the sand (which was included as part of the whole day package) and unlimited drinks of course.
