As written for AskMen: Aging is inevitable, and as a result, it takes a toll on our skin. One effective way to help the facial skin renew itself it is through exfoliation. The shedding process of scrubbing off dead skin cells reveals and exposes fresher, more youthful skin. The process keeps the skin clean as too many dead skin cells can clog pores and cause acne, ingrown hairs and wrinkles.
Exfoliation is important for clear skin, but also for a smooth shave, says Alex Grogan, the co-founder of ManCave. “By scrubbing off dead skin, you not only unclog pores and brighten the complexion, you are also exposing hair follicles, allowing for a closer shave and eliminating ingrown hairs.” Read the rest of this entry
Curated subscription boxes. So many to choose from, but thanks to the world’s largest men’s magazine, Men’s Health, every basic aspect of life is covered with its quarterly box service that just launched this year. As part of the Men’s Health MVP Network, I’ve partnered with the brand to try out the service and share my favorites from this quarter’s box – plus to help you save 20% off your first box. So if you’re thinking of trying a new subscription box program for yourself or to give it as a gift this holiday season, check out below for the details:
Traveling takes a toll on the skin, especially when traveling on an airplane, but they’re tools to help you look and feel great again, and one brand to look at for some of them is Baxter of California. I recently traveled down to Palm Beach for a weekend of sun (and gay polo – more about that soon), but had to make sure I looked good as soon as I arrived for the group’s first night out – and each subsequent day. Old Spice’s latest product line shows how the American brand has grown into an iconic grooming brand over the past 80 years, and how it continues to evolve. The new Hardest Working Collection product line reportedly offers the most powerful Old Spice anti-perspirants and body washes around, and ties in the male population’s growing desire for performance and being active. The collection consists of the new Odor Blocker and Sweat Defense anti-perspirant/deodorants and Dirt Destroyer body wash, and I took the collection for a spin in two different adventures the past few weeks: the lushful and sunny oasis of Panama and the rugged, unpredictable Iceland.

While in Tel Aviv earlier this month, I stayed at the stylish and retro-chic Brown TLV boutique hotel for my first couple of nights in the heart of the city. Along with the hotel’s location and its vibes, my favorite other amenities include the 1970s-themed lobby (or ‘Living Room’), the hotel’s indoor-outdoor bar in the garden area, and rooftop deck where I figured it would be best to share some of my city summer travel style must-haves for this season.

Traveling all the time I always need to have my grooming arsenal stocked up and love testing out new products and collections. Having used Old Spice bath products before for the post-workout showers, when I was asked to partner with the men’s body care brand to try out there latest line, the Fresher Collection, I was more than excited to do so.
An extension of the Fresh Collection, one thing (or three) that the Fresher Collection does is introduces new scents to help men smell fresher than the great outdoors: Timber, Amber and Citron. A reason Old Spice has added more outdoors scents to the collection is due to studies they researched and proved the great outdoors and the fresh scents have the power to calm the mind and body.
Along with the new designs to look forward to in the season to come, fashion weeks are a great source for hairstyles to take inspiration from or to try out in your day-to-day styling.
