Earlier this summer I got to venture back to Amsterdam, and it was like a whole different place compared to my cold, rainy first time in the fall. Traveling with Gray Line Worldwide (which just recently released an inspo video on the destination – plus a contest!), we got to explore a lot of the city (and nearby the city) – both as locals do and as visitors might. Check out the adventure below, plus see how you can layer for crisp summer mornings or destinations such as Amsterdam that can have cool air in the summer:
Italy Travel Photo Diary
Can’t believe it’s mid-September already! Currently I’m traveling through Italy with Intrepid Travel and it’s been quite the adventure as I travel with a group of people who aren’t in media. Most of my travels – if I’m not going somewhere alone or with a buddy – have been with others in the similar industry as me (be it bloggers, journalists or other influencers), but now I’m finding myself sipping vino and enjoying dolce each night with a group of people from all walks of life: mining engineers, a family doctor, teachers and someone in a CSI-like field. Though I’m traveling with such a diverse and fun group, it’s also nice to have my alone time in this beautiful country during my first visit here.
I’ll be putting together a more detailed post of the experience in Italy and with Intrepid Travel in case you’ve been thinking about doing a small group trip such as this, but I wanted to share some photos from Italia that I’ve taken. A lot of these are already posted on my Insta, but there’s a few more below from this journey that has brought me to Venice to Florence and more! Read the rest of this entry
Travel Inspiration: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Earlier this spring I got the chance to explore Albuquerque and it was more amazing than I thought it would! As I work to put together a travel guide on the New Mexican city, I wanted to share some photos from my trip to inspire your travels.
Get a taste of Albuquerque below through adventures such as hot air ballooning with Rainbow Ryders and going up the Sandia Mountain peak tramway, to different stays across the city such as Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm and the Nativo Lodge, and eating throughout the city at places such as Sadie’s of New Mexico and Golden Crown Panaderia. Travel Inspiration: The Colorful Wynwood Walls and Arts District
Earlier this year I was in Miami with the Thompson Miami Beach and got a chance to spend a morning over in the Wynwood neighborhood to experience the Wynwood Walls. Since 2009 the Walls have welcomed over 50 street art and graffiti artists from 16 different countries to cover and revitalize the walls of the Miami warehouse district neighborhood with their works.
Numerous mural artworks await visitors ranging from symmetrical art to works with characters and symbols, and the art expands further then the Wynwood Walls and throughout the district. Get a taste of what you’ll find at the Walls and in the Wynwood Arts District below, plus a look at my springtime styling with Original Penguin’s new take on the classic polo inspired by Miami street style. First Time In Budapest: Photo Diary
Recently I had the pleasure of traveling to Budapest for the first time, and it was an incredible experience. I traveled with Corinthia Hotels and wrote an article for AskMen.com on their five-star hotel there which has stood for over a century and is Europe’s first grand dame hotel. I spent four days in Budapest after flying in from London with British Airways—which was just over a two hour flight—and got to experience a little bit of everything.
I toured the historical and iconic sites such as Buda Castle (the city view from it is the photo at top), the Szechenyi Thermal Baths and Heroes Square (above), shopped along the famed Andrássy Avenue and at the Great Market Hall, ate at restaurants such as Gundel and Reteshaz, and checked out the city street art and the popular ruin bar Szimpla kert. Get a taste of Budapest below with some more of my snaps, with more posts soon!
Travel Inspiration: Living Las Vegas
Las Vegas was one my first destinations I got to visit as a travel writer and it was a very memorable experience for that and since it was my first time in the so called Sin City. It’s a destination I’d recommend to visit for the diverse amount of attractions, hotels and resorts, restaurants, pools and nightlife options.
Having been again earlier this summer, I’ve selected some of my favorites photos I’ve taken the past couple of years. See what you can in Vegas below in over 35 photos! From The Strip and The LINQ outdoor project, to Downtown Vegas for the Fremont Experience and the Container Park, be inspired to visit soon:
Travel Inspiration: The Dushi Willemstad, Curaçao
If you find yourself in Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao there is one local saying you should know, ‘dushi’. Dushi means sweet or nice, even good, and can be applied to everything on the island, even the island itself
From the colorful architecture and delicious food in the capital Willemstad’s neighborhoods of Otrabanda and Punda, to the beaches, hotels and pools of Piscadera Bay, below see photos from my visit to Curaçao this past spring to make you want to visit Willemstad and beyond:
Travel Inspiration: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
In this edition of Travel Inspiration, see highlights from my trip to Puerto Vallarta that’ll make you want to visit (especially with this hurricane making its way up the East Coast this weekend). Located along the Pacific Ocean’s Bahía de Banderas Bay, I got to experience this Mexican hotspot for a few days last month and explore areas such as Old Vallarta, the resort section, the ocean waters and a little bit of a hidden paradise:
