5 Cool Things About Mexico City
Fresh back from the holidays and my first trip of the new year, I’ve started contributing to Oyster.com and published my first piece just before the new year. It’s on Mexico City and about things you should know about the city that you might’ve not before. I was very surprised by Mexico City, especially by how massive it was and how many things there was to do there. Below are a few things I liked while I was there pulled from my article: Read the rest of this entry
Weekend Road Trip to Providence and Newport, Rhode Island
Summer is the perfect time to take a road trip in the northeast for the warmer weather in the region and to escape muggy weather in areas like New York city and further south. I recently partnered with Toyota for a road trip in New England, and went up to Rhode Island since was already making plans to visit Providence for a food story I was working on and to check out different areas in the city. Since I would be driving now instead of using the train to visit (which would’ve been easy and comfortable to do leaving from the Tri-State area), decided to also stop by Newport for the beach, biking and mansion exploring.
Find more road trip moments below – plus Providence highlights for neighborhoods to visit, a hotel to stay at and LGBT nightlife, and how to spend a day in Newport:

Travel Inspiration: The Colorful Wynwood Walls and Arts District
Earlier this year I was in Miami with the Thompson Miami Beach and got a chance to spend a morning over in the Wynwood neighborhood to experience the Wynwood Walls. Since 2009 the Walls have welcomed over 50 street art and graffiti artists from 16 different countries to cover and revitalize the walls of the Miami warehouse district neighborhood with their works.
Numerous mural artworks await visitors ranging from symmetrical art to works with characters and symbols, and the art expands further then the Wynwood Walls and throughout the district. Get a taste of what you’ll find at the Walls and in the Wynwood Arts District below, plus a look at my springtime styling with Original Penguin’s new take on the classic polo inspired by Miami street style. Outfit: Stylish Activewear for City Travel
Wearing athletic wear for travel is certainly nothing new, but with more technical clothing being released thanks to the street-sportswear trend continually growing the styling options have gotten better for on and off the plane. I recently went on a trip to Germany to check out the new Element Frankfurt Airport Hotel, the first of this eco-friendly hotel line in Europe that’s only 15 minutes away from the center of Frankfurt and offers a relaxing stay with its home-y studio apartment styled suites, and I traveled wearing styles from lululemon men’s latest collection of fashionable styles that allow to be active in if needed or wanted.
While I wasn’t able to do a shoot my look while in Frankfurt due to scheduling and all the rain while I was there, when I returned stateside I shot the same outfit in New York. Since Frankfurt is also known as Mainhattan, for the city’s notable skyline with modern high-rise buildings and the local Main River, it seemed more than fitting that I shoot in Lower Manhattan and Ellis Island to show the city’s skyline.
