In this week’s OUT On The Street for Out Magazine, I came across menswear blogger One Dapper Street (aka Marcel Floruß) at a Coach’s spring 2014 press preview. Dressed in his blog’s namesake style, Marcel sports a perfect combination of autumn shades: olive, taupe, burgundy and cognac. See the details of the look on Out.com, and check out more street style on Vee Travels.

Outfit: Simple, Vivid Accessories & Patterns

outfit-bold-fall-accessories-1

Don’t just pop on any sweater this fall season,  stand out with an eye-catching pattern. You don’t have to go with a loud print nor multicolor argyle, but a simple woven pattern such as this John Varvatos henley sweater can go a long way when paired with vivid (but still simple) accessories.

Shot at the Mondrian SoHo, Hayden models the charcoal grey Varvatos sweater paired with a reversible, red tonal leather belt from Varvatos (red is always best paired with solids, and breaks up the sweater and H&M skinny jeans nicely), sky blue aviators from Express, and a pair of skull patterned socks from Stance (to break up the jeans and simple ALDO kicks).

Outfit: Summer To Fall Transitioning Fashion

transitional-fashion-summer-fall-andrew-villagomez-1

As the temperature drops from a warm New York Fashion Week, it’s time to pack away summer garbs and pull out the fall washes. A way to transition into fall is by having a style that utilizes two versatile trends: the denim shirt and use of camel.

Representing a summer tone, Daniel is wearing a light washed denim shirt from the LA-based denim specialist brand, Simon Miller, and we paired it with Bonobos‘ straight leg chinos in a bright camel-toned color—camel is an essential color for fall.

Shot around New Haven’s Yale, we accessorized the look with collegiate ready cap toe oxfords, a hand-woven navy tie from Everett, and a market tote from Herschel Supply’s new camouflage collection. Camo is a pattern that is still having its moment, but looks like it’ll be here to stay; making it perfect to include in your transitioning and fall wardrobe.

Outfit: Make A Statement This Labor Day

outfit-statement-summer-look-1

Ditch the solid trunks this Labor Day weekend and go for bold prints or patterns. Palm Springs meets New England with this look featuring Mr Turk in Greenwich, CT’s Tod’s Point; a beach/park and marina that is must if you’re ever in Fairfield County.

Here on a bright, breezy day, Tom models one of Mr Turk’s latest swimwear designs, the safari board shorts, paired with a mini houndstooth patterned short sleeve button down. The shirt is very versatile and we did two looks with it, showing how to transition from casual summer work into a festive, holiday-ready outfit.

Indochino’s Online Experience And The New Modern Dandy Collection

indochino-online-dandy-collection

It doesn’t get more dapper than a bespoke shirt or suit, and thanks to made-to-measure e-stores like Indochino, you have the convenience of measuring yourself on your clock. Where this Vancouver-based brand can differ from its competitors is the amount of customizability one can have with a shirt or suit, which are made from the same quality materials used by Zegna and Ralph Lauren—and with an appealing price. Seriously, you can order both a custom shirt and a two-piece suit for just over $500 (Essentials shirts start at $79, suits at $449).

Online Experience

Something pretty cool Indochino offers is a Tailor’s Kit, which is filled with 16 fabric swatches to show you the options in person, plus two measuring tapes. Available for $29, you then get a credit for the same amount to use towards an order. I ordered a shirt and will be focusing the online ordering experience of it.

Arriving on September 15, the items are divided into Morning, Noon and Night wardrobes. The menswear highlights selected includes color-blocked tops, a stylish tan trench, fancy sweats, leather hi-tops and a fantastic array of cerulean-based camo (the backpack is everything!):

Outfit: The Business Casual Summer Traveler

outfit-business-casual-summer-travel-1

Business travel is on the rise again and New York remains the top U.S. destination, so no better location for a business casual look that’s perfect for in the office or on the go—whether it be plane or commuting down the High Line.

If you’re traveling this summer for work, and your hosting office calls for a casual look, have some fun and ditch the khakis or the wingtips and cap-toes. A colorful boat shoe or moc can really put that extra pep in your step, while keeping it prep, and that is what this look was based around.
