From my Texas road trip with Best Western, one of my favorite things we did was a food tour of Austin through its colorful and cheeky (and tasty) food trucks. For the outdoorsy dinner crawl in the Texas heat (which since it was over 90 degrees F was luckily more of a bus tour), I sported an ikat pattern top from Territory Ahead, denim shorts I made, and UGG’s lightweight Cantrell suede chukka boot style. During my recent trip to St. Croix, where I experienced all of its Caribbean wonders from land to sea, I stopped in the town of Christiansted to show how you can style a printed geometric patterned T-shirt while down in the U.S. Virgin Islands or during your summer months back home. In Christiansted you’ll find 18th-century Danish-style pastel stone buildings and lush gardens and greens which were a perfect background for the tee I had in mind to show.
This bold patterned tee from Lactose L!VE, which unfortunately is not available at the moment, shows how you can contrast the tropical greens around. I styled it up with accessories such as a toggle bracelet from Coach’s new collaboration, Coach + Philip Crangi, a pair of gold framed aviators and leather driving shoes, but kept the look summer casual with sun-washed khakis.
While a leather jacket can look good almost anytime of the year, brown leather shines like no other when surrounded by November’s colorful foliage in New York’s Central Park. I styled my favorite vintage leather jacket with other shades of brown. A classic pair of tan J.Crew cotton-twill chinos contrast the dark brown jacket in a smart manner, and fall styling calls for a pair of rugged boots. This simple pair from Grenson adds a stylish body to the classic derby boot with a scotch grain leather.
To break the brown hues, and standout one it’s own, a rich burgundy crew neck sweater is a wardrobe essential (as the color can look good year-round), and to top off the look on a sunny day, can’t go wrong with Ray-Ban aviators.

As the temperature drops from a warm New York Fashion Week, it’s time to pack away summer garbs and pull out the fall washes. A way to transition into fall is by having a style that utilizes two versatile trends: the denim shirt and use of camel.
Representing a summer tone, Daniel is wearing a light washed denim shirt from the LA-based denim specialist brand, Simon Miller, and we paired it with Bonobos‘ straight leg chinos in a bright camel-toned color—camel is an essential color for fall.
Shot around New Haven’s Yale, we accessorized the look with collegiate ready cap toe oxfords, a hand-woven navy tie from Everett, and a market tote from Herschel Supply’s new camouflage collection. Camo is a pattern that is still having its moment, but looks like it’ll be here to stay; making it perfect to include in your transitioning and fall wardrobe.
Stamford, CT is technically a city, but even here in downtown you see how it is a mix of both city and suburb. I purposely left out major buildings like the Trump Tower or UBS when selecting the area, but nonetheless, the city is a perfect representation for the look I put together —mixing art flair with prep.
Adam is wearing a Orley silk-cotton blend tee with a coral and navy geometric pattern with ribbed hems. It stands out even more by pairing with basic tones from the beige H&M shorts and tan, suede oxfords from Eastland Shoe. We finalized the look with a pair of gold and tortoise Ray-Ban shades. A moped we found later was a perfect match to the tee as well, which you’ll see below.
