Billy Reid Men’s Spring 2016 Collection and Backstage Photos
The Billy Reid Spring 2016 collection at New York Fashion Week: Men’s and backstage moments with models such as Michael Lockley, Dominik Sadoch, Baptiste Radufe, Malcom de Ruiter, and more.
For Billy Reid’s collection collection shown at ArtBeam, Reid features hand-knit jacquard sweaters and other knits, wide knee-length shorts, polyester trenches and more loose, relaxed styles in a palette of neutrals. It was a sea of earth tones such as oatmeal, cream, bronze and bone, and a few pieces with blue and black. I interviewed the Alabamian designer for AskMen.com, for which Reid said he and his design team wanted to keep things extremely soft and uncluttered.
More details and the full photo set below:
From my interview with Bill Reid for AskMen.com (which can be found here), Reid wanted loose and layered styling and for it all to feel a little off the body and to have no constrictions. Styling for the show was Details Creative Director Eugene Tong, and finishing touches for the looks included handmade visor-like headwear for some of the looks.
