Outfit: Make A Statement This Labor Day
Ditch the solid trunks this Labor Day weekend and go for bold prints or patterns. Palm Springs meets New England with this look featuring Mr Turk in Greenwich, CT’s Tod’s Point; a beach/park and marina that is must if you’re ever in Fairfield County.
Here on a bright, breezy day, Tom models one of Mr Turk’s latest swimwear designs, the safari board shorts, paired with a mini houndstooth patterned short sleeve button down. The shirt is very versatile and we did two looks with it, showing how to transition from casual summer work into a festive, holiday-ready outfit.
A medium Dubbel Duffel bag in orange and navy contrasts the various greens and blues in the outfit, and keeping the wrist and eye accessories in classic tones, I went for a sterling silver watch from Guess from my teen years (so I guess it’s pre-vintage) and a blonde tortoise summer style from the stylish innovator and do-gooder, Warby Parker.
Fun fact about Tod’s Point (also called Greenwich Point Park), you can see the New York skyline across the Long Island Sound; as you can slightly see above.
