5 Menswear Trends From New York Fashion Week To Use Now

I couldn’t help but notice all the different trends that were present among the fall/winter 2014 collections, especially the ones you can use now as we close out winter and enter into spring. My favorite looks for each below:

Looking over the presentations from New York Fashion Week, I couldn’t help but notice the proliferation of furry-faced models. Back in September I noticed an increase in more bearded models following fashion weeks aborad, and the trend shows no sign of abating.
Below, check out bearded gents who walked the runway for Mr Turk, Black Sail by Nautica, Michael Bastian and Billy Reid, and see the full set I collected together on Logo TV’s NewNowNext:

Street Style: Perfect Casual Menswear From NYFW F/W 2014

Shooting street style for Out and Latina magazines this fashion week fall/winter 2014 season, I couldn’t stop snapping all the different styles I spotted across New York. Along with some dapper and luxe menswear, I also came across several men who’ve mastered casual styling perfectly.
Below see Eugene Tong of Details, John Jannuzzi of GQ, Gregory DelliCarpini Jr. of Billboard, models Fernando Cabral and Miles McMillian, fellow men’s style bloggers Justin Livingston (Scout Sixteen), Anthony Urbano (Closet Freaks) and Josh Johnson (The Kentucky Gent), and several other stylish men:

Street Style: The Best Women’s Fashion From NYFW F/W 2014

Shooting men’s street style this fashion week fall/winter 2014 season, I also photographed stylish women for Latina magazine. Along with finds for Latina, I also captured and found wonderful women’s fashion of all styles that are worth checking out:

Street Style: Men’s Fur Coats, Accessories & Chic Looks From NYFW F/W 2014

Shooting street style for Out and Latina magazines this fashion week fall/winter 2014 season, I couldn’t stop snapping all the different styles I spotted across New York. Along with some dapper menswear, I also came across several fashionistos who brought the chic and fur this season:

NYFW: The Male Models Backstage At Billy Reid F/W 2014

Fashion Week has come to end, and I just have a couple more round up assignments to put together as I—and the rest of the North East—prepares for yet another snow storm this weekend. To get your spirits up a bit in case this snowy week has got you down, I got a chance to shoot backstage before Billy Reid’s presentation for his fall/winer 2014 collection—which featured a lot earth tones on handsome outerwear of various patterns and fabrics (a lot of fur), fitted suits and casual knits.
Check out the male models as they got ready for the show:

NYFW: Mr Turk’s California Prep & Power Pattern Clashing For F/W 2014

Known for fun printed swimwear and use of bold colors, Mr Turk’s fall/winter 2014 collection has given a fresh Californian take on traditional preppy menswear. “Our inspiration for Mr Turk is always this sociable guy, someone who wants to go out. Whether it’s to a cocktail party or our to brunch, not someone who likes to stay at home,” says Creative Director Jonathan Skow at the presentation during New York Fashion Week.

Bold clashing of patterns like paisley, ombre dot, plaid, horizon and vertical stripes, and houndstooth are seen among blazers, cardigans, trousers, vests and the rest of the clothes for the luxury collegiate-meets-newspaper boy styles. See the full looks below:
NYFW: David Hart’s “Twilight Zone”-inspired Fitted Suits & Vintage Styled Menswear For F/W 2014

Showing his fall/winter 2014 collection at the inaugural New York Men’s Day, designer David Hart told me his influence for the collection came from the late-fifties/early-sixties sci-fi show The Twilight Zone, and classic black and white television as a new medium back in it was entering its heyday.
Writing for a post on Details.com, we saw fitted tuxedos and suit jackets made of materials ranging from English silk to guncheck wool, as well as turtlenecks worn under jackets and round cracked eyewear (a nod to the perennial favorite episode “Time Enough at Last“).

NYFW: Ernest Alexander’s Vintage Biker-inspired Collection For F/W 2014

Showing Ernest Alexander’s fall/winter 2014 collection at the inaugural New York Men’s Day, designer Ernest Sabine told me his influence for the collection came from the biker culture of the Teens and Twenties eras; giving his work an edge this season.
NYFW: Orley’s New York Fashion Week Debut

Catching up on New York Fashion Week posts after finishing up taking street style and behind the scenes photos for Out, Latina and Logo TV, I wanted to share photos and favorites from Orley’s first official fashion week presentation.

For fall/winter 2014, the collection featured beautiful jacquard sweaters and accessories, including geo-patterned gloves that are lined with leather and feature a wrist strap.
