NYFW: Ovadia & Sons SS14
Shimon and Ariel Ovadia, the twin brothers and designers of the three-year-old brand Ovadia & Sons, held their first New York Fashion Week presentation yesterday, which included 26 looks from their spring/summer 2014 collection.
Known for their traditional dress apparel (suits, shirts and ties) and range of basic colors, the brothers proved their versatility with fashions that could go from day to night, and the introduction of the stand out, and very popular (check your Instagrams for #ovadiaandsons), Neoprene motorcycle jackets:
The Ovadia and Sons’ color palette featured black, white and blues with hints of green and tan. Along with the moto jacket, other features of the collection included an indigo denim suit, floral printed shorts and trousers, two-panel sweaters, paint-splattered pants in olive, and various single- and double-breasted jackets:
NYFW: Richard Chai’s Soft Geometrics For SS14
One of the first big shows to start New York Fashion Week at the Lincoln Center’s tents, Richard Chai‘s Spring/Summer 2014 collection. The show marked the debut of a collaboration between Chai and the leather goods brand, Andrew Marc, on a range of leather jackets and shoes.
Chai’s collection was inspired from soft geo shapes, and for the men’s wear, that translated to seersucker blazers, plaid and pleated shorts, oversized trousers and striped tops. There was a strong use of the essential black, white and blues, but the mustardy shade of cognac on a couple of looks stood out when they emerged.

World’s First Grooming Line For Gay Men
LAID Brand’s Not So Str8 is a new pheromone-charged hair and body wash product line that’s specific for men and women who love the same-sex. The first gay grooming line in the world, the gender specific body wash and hair styling products use a blend of custom pheromones, called pherottraction, and aims to boost the users senses and confidence, while stimulating same-sex loving men or women around you.
The products offered for men include a refreshing, citrusy 2-in-1 shampoo and body wash ($23.20, 12 oz) and a forming paste ($21.60, 2 oz) that actually gives your hair a good, mild-to-average hold and a non-greasy feel.
I researched and tested the products for Out Magazine, and you can see how the pheromones are used to attract the same-sex on Out.com.

5 Cocktails To Enjoy Before Summer Ends
In the final days of August and into the Labor Day holiday weekend, we can start to think about the final days we’ll be sporting our favorite swimwear and certain seasonally garbs.
However, since we’re still likely going to have a few hot days thrown our way before summer is officially over, one thing we don’t have to say goodbye to just yet is our summer cocktails. Technically we never have to, but certain drinks only taste better after a hot day or lounging out by a pool during that last minute getaway.
Enjoy five different cocktails below: Read the rest of this entry
