In this week’s OUT On The Street for Out Magazine, I came across menswear blogger One Dapper Street (aka Marcel Floruß) at a Coach’s spring 2014 press preview. Dressed in his blog’s namesake style, Marcel sports a perfect combination of autumn shades: olive, taupe, burgundy and cognac. See the details of the look on Out.com, and check out more street style on Vee Travels.

Preview: Coach Men’s Spring 2014

Coach-Mens-Spring-2014-Stripes-1

It’s all about the stripes for Coach’s mens collection this upcoming spring. An array of stripped goods from umbrellas and footwear to pouches, wallets and totes were featured in warm tones (yellow, orange and red), and blues and olives as well.

One the first totes seen at the preview (below)  stood out as a favorite for me for its different sized stripes and use of basic tones highlighted by the standout canary yellow:

toms-sunglasses-world-sight-day-beshady-1

Taking part in World Sight Day (October 10th), TOMS is putting forth its #BESHADY campaign in support and awareness of this annual day created to focus global attention on blindness, visual impairment and rehabilitation of the visually impaired.

Wear your sunglasses indoors to show support, and when asked by others why you are wearing sunglasses while reading a magazine, in a restaurant or as you shop, you can tell them it is for the 285 million people who are visually impaired or blind. Upload selfies to Instagram with the hashtag #BESHADY.

TOMS, which also helps restore or save the sight of a person in need with every eyewear purchase, has released a limited edition pair of sunglasses for World Sight Day. The Phoenix Gold Mirror ($55) comes in an amber tortoise frame and ear pieces in solid white and sky blue. You can style up the sunglasses with a fall essential denim jacket (this one from H&M), and colors such as charcoal or olive always pair nicely with denim or torte.

Preview: Grenson Shoes Spring/Summer 2014

grenson-shoes-ss14-12

A heritage shoe brand, Britain’s Grenson Shoes is renowned for its craftsmanship and high-quality footwear since its foundation in 1866. Today, creative director and CEO Tim Little continues to uphold traditional manufacturing, like the “Goodyear Welted” process (a time-consuming technique from the 1800s that gives the shoes their long life and easy repair), and keeps up with trends by producing footwear in contemporary styles and colors—in addition to their core line of well-loved classics.

Earlier this week, Little and the rest of the Grenson team were at New York’s Hotel On Rivington to showcase the upcoming spring/summer 2014 collection. Among the classic, year- round styles (on the glass shelves below), new color options and additions to the growing brand include a twist on the sneaker/shoe hybrid, a colorful and essential summer derby, blue soled shoes (above), and the introduction of a canvas tote, backpacks and a messenger briefcase that join the leather and suede carry alls (introduced earlier this year).

Outfit: Simple, Vivid Accessories & Patterns

outfit-bold-fall-accessories-1

Don’t just pop on any sweater this fall season,  stand out with an eye-catching pattern. You don’t have to go with a loud print nor multicolor argyle, but a simple woven pattern such as this John Varvatos henley sweater can go a long way when paired with vivid (but still simple) accessories.

Shot at the Mondrian SoHo, Hayden models the charcoal grey Varvatos sweater paired with a reversible, red tonal leather belt from Varvatos (red is always best paired with solids, and breaks up the sweater and H&M skinny jeans nicely), sky blue aviators from Express, and a pair of skull patterned socks from Stance (to break up the jeans and simple ALDO kicks).

Outfit: Summer To Fall Transitioning Fashion

transitional-fashion-summer-fall-andrew-villagomez-1

As the temperature drops from a warm New York Fashion Week, it’s time to pack away summer garbs and pull out the fall washes. A way to transition into fall is by having a style that utilizes two versatile trends: the denim shirt and use of camel.

Representing a summer tone, Daniel is wearing a light washed denim shirt from the LA-based denim specialist brand, Simon Miller, and we paired it with Bonobos‘ straight leg chinos in a bright camel-toned color—camel is an essential color for fall.

Shot around New Haven’s Yale, we accessorized the look with collegiate ready cap toe oxfords, a hand-woven navy tie from Everett, and a market tote from Herschel Supply’s new camouflage collection. Camo is a pattern that is still having its moment, but looks like it’ll be here to stay; making it perfect to include in your transitioning and fall wardrobe.
