Music Download: Britney Spears and Elton John “Hold Me Closer”
It’s been six years since Britney Spears has released a new song, since 2016’s Glory album, and for her return, she’s teamed up with Elton John for a pop disco hit.
When teasers for the new song first popped up on TikTok last week I was taken by surprise and I was overcome with joy that Britney was making music again! Can’t wait to hear this everywhere and to dance to it for years to come – literally grooving along right now as I have the song on repeat!

As one commenter on YouTube said, “When you’re obsessed and haven’t even heard it yet.” These were my thoughts exactly when Marina released a snippet of her latest single the other night. “Venus Fly Trap” comes from her forthcoming album, Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land, which comes out on June 11th, and I for one can’t wait for it! I’ve had her three other singles on repeat, and “Venus Fly Trap” is joining that playlist.

Music Download: La Roux’s Comeback With “Let Me Down Gently”
British synth-pop dou La Roux is back with a new single that premiered today, and just like front-woman Elly Jackson’s hair, the song is brilliant!
Quite different from “Bulletproof”, “Let Me Down Gently” is a smooth, ballad-like track with a synth-pop audio. The beat of course then picks up, with Jackson’s lyrics still staying soft for a harmonious, balanced comeback track that’ll be great for to listen while cruising—whatever your method of transpo is. “Let Me Down Gently” is the lead single for La Roux’s return album, Trouble in Paradise, which is due in July. Music Download: Lily Allen’s Playful “Sheezus”
I just heard/watched “Sheezus”, and I wait can’t for Lily Allen’s comeback album next month, which is named after the song. Sure “Hard Out Here” is a catchy tune, but with Allen poking fun at Kanye’s Yeezus alter ego and then name dropping Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Lorde, she has created a number that you have to listen to: Read the rest of this entry
Music Download: Lana Del Rey’s Sultry, Soft Rock “West Coast”
I kind of wish Lana Del Rey pulled a Beyonce with this track. After debuting “West Coast” (which was announced as the lead single of Ultraviolence earlier this month when “Meet Me in the Pale Moonlight” leaked) while at Coachella this weekend, Lana’s released the official audio for the new track that we’re all going to have on repeat this spring and summer. The song is in typical Lana fashion, with sultry vocals and a moody track, but also has a little soft rock edge. Listen below: Read the rest of this entry
Music Download: Lana Del Rey’s Groovy “Meet Me in the Pale Moonlight”
As we count down the days to the release of Ultraviolence, Lana Del Rey’s second album due on May 1, we got a special treat today, a new leaked single. Though it is still uncertain if this track will appear on the new album, no doubt that “Meet Me In The Pale Moonlight” is winning over fans with its a groovy disco-influenced tunes and classic (meaning Lizzy Grant – Lana’s previous persona) lyrics that needs to be on this upcoming album or released on its own for us to properly download.

Music Download: Shakira’s Powerful “Empire”
Shakira has been one of my favorite musicians since “Whenever, Wherever” came out back in my middle school years—2001 to be exact. I’m so excited for her new self titled album to drop this March, and I’m still in love with “Can’t Remember To Forget You” featuring Rihanna, but her second single “Empire” shows off the Colombiana’s rock roots in this much needed power anthem.
