Music Download: Lily Allen’s Playful “Sheezus”

I just heard/watched “Sheezus”, and I wait can’t for Lily Allen’s comeback album next month, which is named after the song. Sure “Hard Out Here” is a catchy tune, but with Allen poking fun at Kanye’s Yeezus alter ego and then name dropping Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Lorde, she has created a number that you have to listen to:

It’s a playful track and a trippy video, and the internet is loving her take on the female pop game changes the past year via the chorus: “RiRi isn’t scared of Katy Perry’s roaring, Queen Bey’s gone back to the drawing. Lorde smells blood, yeah, she’s about to slay you… kid ain’t one to f**k with when she’s only on her debut.”

She then takes a dig at Gaga, which I had to laugh at: “We’re all watching Gaga, LOL, haha/Dying for the art, so really, she’s a martyr/Second-best will never cut it for the divas/Give me that crown, bitch/I wanna be Sheezus.”

What do you think, love it or hate it? Download the track here.
