5 Digital Services to Gift Instead of Regular Gift Cards
Whether its Christmas or another occasion you might find yourself needing to get a last-minute gift card for, forget about getting one to Starbucks or a department store. Make it a little more personal and pick up one for a digital service (or service thats started online) that the person either hasn’t tried before and could be into or that you know they’ll love. Five different online services to give:
Netflix – who wouldn’t love to receive the gift of TV binging? Released this year, they are available in various amounts, at various retail locations like Target and Best Buy, and have no expiration dare. Much better than just picking up a DVD of a movie they might like. Comes in handy for those with daily train commutes and frequent travelers.
Boingo Wi-Fi – another gift for the frequent or even semi-frequent traveler, gift of unlimited internet is perfect. With over a million hotspots around the world, it comes in handy internationally for those that are always on the hunt for Wi-Fi. For domestic travelers, instead of just relying on data for web browsing or streaming, using a Wi-Fi service will help save conserve battery.
Birchbox – for the man or woman who likes to try new grooming or beauty products, Birchbox is a great service to consider gifting and getting for yourself. Be introduced to a number of new and different brands each month with travel-friendly sized products plus tech, accessories and other surprises. I’ve featured various products found on Birchbox (and exclusives) in my Grooming section.
Bespoke Post – another monthly service to keep in mind to gift, Bespoke Post releases a new box each month of a themed collection of goods. Recent themes include the Infuse set (a boozy set of artisan glassware and an infusing rod) and the Highlands (a winter themed set of a Mongolian wool scarf, set of grooming essentials from Port Products and balsam incense sticks).
Indochino – give the digital service of e-tailoring with a gift card to bespoke suit makers, Indochino. Offering a line of suits, shirts, neckwear and accessories, including the stylish new Resort collection, Indochino offers quality custom shirts starting a $79 and custom two-piece suits starting at $349. In case you want to try out Indochino yourself, here’s $50 off.
