Earlier this week I got a chance to preview menswear designer Michael Bastian’s new smartwatch at an event hosted by Gilt (where the watch will be exclusively sold). Bastian designed the watch in partnership with Hewlett-Packard and I wrote an article of the details of the watch and the design process for AskMen.com. Why Travelers Will Love The Seiko Astron GPS Solar Watch

seiko-astron-gps-watch-AstronElite

In collaboration with Seiko I sported the Seiko Astron GPS Solar watch as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #AstronElite, but all opinions are my own.

As a travel freelance writer and blogger, time zone changes can get annoying. I’m often good a changing my watch and phone when readying to take off, but I sometimes do forget and can get worried if I’m catching another flight in a new time zone and I forget about the time change. It happens when there’s just an hour difference, and while it usually gets worked out within 10 minutes or so, there’s really no need for the worrying to occur. Now with the Seiko Astron GPS Solar Watch, wearers don’t ever have to worry about remembering any time zone changes. Trust me, it came in handy for me when I was recently in Vancouver coming from Budapest. Read the rest of this entry

Outfit: Style Statement Headphones In Winter

winter-music-outfit-8

Adding extra style and personality to a person’s outfit, headphones are a statement accessory and part of our daily lives. From my In The Bag series, I styled my Marley Liberate On-Ear Headphones (which I fell in love with for its mixed-media design of stainless steel, natural wood and the brand’s blend of reclaimed hemp and organic cotton) with a winter-ready outfit with on tones based off its color palette: blue, grey and brown.

Shot just before the winter storm hit, the UGG Ory boots would’ve had no problem handling Janus with its waterproof leathers and Thinsulate technology for warmth.
