LGBT Life in Tel Aviv and TLV Pride 2015: PHOTOS
There really is no major international city like Tel Aviv for the LGBT community, which is saying a lot from someone who’s been to several different gay metropolises. Just getting back from an amazing trip to Israel for Tel Aviv Gay Pride 2015, I got to see LGBT life in the “city that never stops” during the largest Pride celebration in Asia.
The Israeli city was (and probably still is) covered with rainbow flags and banners in support for the community for the 17th edition of TLV Pride. You’d think any place can easily just put up these signs of being an ally in order to attract travelers, but the city municipality (which fully hosts and sponsors TLV Pride) makes sure the establishments that do so during Pride are year-long supporters of the community. That’s just one example of how Tel Avivians are supportive of the community, which has no need for a gayborhood as the whole city is like a big one.

Weekend Road Trip Style
Who doesn’t like to be comfy when on a road trip? With some many graphics out there, you can have a little fun when styling for a road trip. I came across this Snoopy and Woodstock printed sweatshirt and fell in love with the from the first glance! Kept the styling to a minimum and the road trip essentials: sneakers, sunnies and a duffle bag.

Biking in Newport
As part of my road trip to Rhode Island with Toyota, my friend and I spent a day in Newport and went for a bike ride upon arrival.

It was a rather chilly day and I luckily brought along lululemon’s Le Hoodie to help warm up. Made of stretch French Terry fabric for natural breathing, it features a mesh fabric outer-shell for the hoodie to protect you from the elements. It also has a media sleeve in the right pocket to keep your phone in its place and has thumbholes if you want to run with the hoodie on. Weekend Road Trip to Providence and Newport, Rhode Island

Summer is the perfect time to take a road trip in the northeast for the warmer weather in the region and to escape muggy weather in areas like New York city and further south. I recently partnered with Toyota for a road trip in New England, and went up to Rhode Island since was already making plans to visit Providence for a food story I was working on and to check out different areas in the city. Since I would be driving now instead of using the train to visit (which would’ve been easy and comfortable to do leaving from the Tri-State area), decided to also stop by Newport for the beach, biking and mansion exploring.

Find more road trip moments below – plus Providence highlights for neighborhoods to visit, a hotel to stay at and LGBT nightlife, and how to spend a day in Newport:

Travel Inspiration: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Earlier this spring I got the chance to explore Albuquerque and it was more amazing than I thought it would! As I work to put together a travel guide on the New Mexican city, I wanted to share some photos from my trip to inspire your travels.
Get a taste of Albuquerque below through adventures such as hot air ballooning with Rainbow Ryders and going up the Sandia Mountain peak tramway, to different stays across the city such as Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm and the Nativo Lodge, and eating throughout the city at places such as Sadie’s of New Mexico and Golden Crown Panaderia. Gay Travel Guide to Puerto Vallarta
With Puerto Vallarta celebrating Pride this week, I thought I’d put together and share a guide for on Mexican town as a LGBT destination:
Where to Stay
If you want to stay in the heart of gay-friendly Puerto Vallarta, then the Zona Romantica (romantic zone, also known as the old town) is where you’ll want to look for a place to book. Most of the gay venues and hotels can be found here in the rather bohemian beach area of town with cobblestone streets. Everything is walkable here, with many stays along the beach or just a block away. Read the rest of this entry
Travel Essentials for Summer and Tropical Getaways
With summer travel planning in mind, there are a few things you should always have in your wardrobe and accessories collection to be ready for the season ahead and for any last minute tropical getaways. I recently traveled to Thailand and had to pack for high 80s and 90 degree, humid weather. Knowing I’d be in the lush tropics of beach towns like Krabi and Khao Lak I packed a range of short sleeved tops, shorts, swimwear and sunnies.

Travel Inspiration: The Colorful Wynwood Walls and Arts District
Earlier this year I was in Miami with the Thompson Miami Beach and got a chance to spend a morning over in the Wynwood neighborhood to experience the Wynwood Walls. Since 2009 the Walls have welcomed over 50 street art and graffiti artists from 16 different countries to cover and revitalize the walls of the Miami warehouse district neighborhood with their works.
Numerous mural artworks await visitors ranging from symmetrical art to works with characters and symbols, and the art expands further then the Wynwood Walls and throughout the district. Get a taste of what you’ll find at the Walls and in the Wynwood Arts District below, plus a look at my springtime styling with Original Penguin’s new take on the classic polo inspired by Miami street style. Weekend Itinerary for London with Virgin Atlantic
One of my favorite cities, London has countless possibilities for a memorable and fun visit through its history, culture and modern developments. So when Virgin Atlantic asked me to put together an itinerary as part of their new Let It Fly online campaign tool (where visitors select which packed bag best suits them and then Virgin recommends a destination based on what was selected), I had to take part and build one that captures the best of London for a three to four day weekend.
