Spring Forward: Simon Miller Spring/Summer 2014
Continuing to put out wonderful denim collections, Simon Miller’s Jake Sargent and Dan Corrigan have taken inspiration from the American Southwest for their upcoming spring and summer collection.
Known for their use of Japanese selvedge denim, the LA-based brand’s new collection covers all the washes (from deep indigo to white), and features sun-staining styles, photo prints and plant based dyes in this collection that feats jeans, jackets, shirting and knitwear—including a fitted striped, denim baseball jersey:
Gift Guide: Men’s Grooming And Body Care Sets To Love

The holiday shopping season is among us, which means it’s time to start thinking gifts. Continuing Vee Travels’ gift guide series, this week covers the shaving and body care sets that the men in your life (or you) will want to use each day:
The Art Of Shaving – The 4 Elements of the Perfect Shave in Ocean Kelp
Known for its premium quality grooming products, a shave set from The Art Of Shaving is always a classic holiday gift. Its trademark The 4 Elements of The Perfect Shave helps you get a close shave while minimizing or preventing (which depends on your razor and own technique) razor burn, ingrown hair and cuts by following the easy instructions of how to apply and use the shaving experience essentials: pre-shave gel (2 oz), shaving cream (5 oz), after-shave lotion (3.4 oz), and a Pure Badger Black shaving brush. The fresh Ocean Kelp scent comes with light aromatic oils of laminaria allege extract and coconut acid, among others, and leaves your face feeling nourished and energized, in my case. ($115, The Art Of Shaving)
Outfit: The Business Casual Autumn Traveler Featuring @FrankAndOak
The best thing about business casual attire is the versatility it offers travelers. The look can be worn in transit and at your hosting office—which is perfect if you have a meeting right away when you land.
Wonderful for styling a business casual look, the Montreal-based e-commerce Frank & Oak offers an array of individual pieces that are perfect for fall (and any season really), and they design a new collection each month.
Shooting in the perfect foliage setting of New York’s Central Park, Vee Travels’ newest model, James, sports Frank & Oak’s slim fitting Huntsman’s Wool Blazer in the oak. Paired with a wine purple-colored button down, I topped off the two with a slim flannel plaid tie with the fall color scheme of navy, forest and honey.
Street Style: The Rugged Huntsman
In this week’s edition of OUT On The Street, I found a traveling Minnesotan named Ricky giving us huntsman realness on Crosby Street. Ricky mixes a vintage camo tee and Italian boots with a jacket from Grenfell, a British brand of luxury outwear. See the details of the look on Out.com, and check out more street style on Vee Travels.

Gift Guide: Passport Covers & Cases For International Travelers
The holiday shopping season is among us, which means it’s time to start thinking gifts. Each week I’ll be posting a set of gift ideas with the topics of travel, grooming, tech and winter fashion that’ll work for friends, family or even to pickup for yourself (or to add to your wish list). This week is all about international travelers and their passports.
A passport cover adds a stylish personality to the basic passport, while also adding extra sleeves for cash or credit cards. For multi country journeys and big shoppers, a case is the perfect organizer for several tickets, receipts for tax refunds (if the city you’re visiting offers it when you leave) and to hold all your euros, pounds or pesos. See our top five this season below:
Kenneth Cole – Paglietta Leather Travel Case
The textured midnight blue leather travel case from Kenneth Cole can hold 10 cards in their own slots, includes a zipper pocket on its left side and bill compartment on the other, and has a pen loop so the user always have a pen or pencil handy ($90, Kenneth Cole).
Get The Look: Autumn Leather In Central Park & MR PORTER ‘s Global Style Campaign
While a leather jacket can look good almost anytime of the year, brown leather shines like no other when surrounded by November’s colorful foliage in New York’s Central Park. I styled my favorite vintage leather jacket with other shades of brown. A classic pair of tan J.Crew cotton-twill chinos contrast the dark brown jacket in a smart manner, and fall styling calls for a pair of rugged boots. This simple pair from Grenson adds a stylish body to the classic derby boot with a scotch grain leather.
To break the brown hues, and standout one it’s own, a rich burgundy crew neck sweater is a wardrobe essential (as the color can look good year-round), and to top off the look on a sunny day, can’t go wrong with Ray-Ban aviators.
Get The Look:
Jacket: Vintage (similar from Belstaff)
Sweater: Banana Republic Blended Sweater (similar from J.Crew)
Pants: J.Crew Cotton-Twill Chinos
Footwear: Grenson Hadley derby boot
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban Aviators (similar from Ray-Ban)

In The Bag: Traveler’s Global Style Accessories For The Weekend

Photographed at the Tcherassi Hotel in Cartagena, Colombia
Accessories that can work anywhere in the world are essential for a traveler to showcase a global style, especially for the weekend when you are packing light and need an easy transition back to your day-to-day routine. Once you’ve picked your travel companion—for this trip to Cartagena, Coach’s Bleecker Legacy Weekend Tote ($658) for its modern heritage design and spacious body—its time to pack the necessities for your journey. So what do you bring in the bag?

The Bleecker Legacy Weekend Tote has a fabric lined interior with a large zip-pocket on one side and two open smaller pockets on the other (each fit a iPad Mini), a zip-top closure, and a small exterior pocket for your smartphone
If you’re only going to be traveling for a short time, no need to bring that laptop of yours obviously, but if you need to get some sort of work done or you need to catch up on your shows while in transit, a tablet is the way to go. However for any international trip, the first thing you need before that is to style up your passport:
Passport Cover – Men In Cities
From Yuvi Alpert’s Men In Cities (an edited, limited collection of accessories each month with each item costing the same price), this beige Global Nomad Passport Cover ($40) has a vintage inspired charm to it. With two large pockets on each inside flap—one for a passport end and the other for your ticket—and a smaller pocket on the right flap (not pictured).
Street Style: Polka Dot Overload Wrapped In Leather
In this week’s edition of OUT On The Street, I came across a SoHo sales specialist named Jason in an eye-catching red leather jacket from Zara, and a polka-dot-on-polka-dot sweater (Topman) and shirt (Joe Fresh) scheme. See the details of the look on Out.com, and check out more street style on Vee Travels.

Outfit: On The Edge For Fall
The cold fall air is in full swing here in the Northeast, which means its time to pull put on those wool jackets if haven’t been already. For an edgier look than the classic wool zip-up or peacoat, Canadian luxury outwear brand Mackage offers jackets and coats that combine three fall and winter essential skins and styles: wool, leather and the down jacket.
Browsing Mackage’s current collection, the Sinclair Biker is an asymmetrical styled wool zip up with leather trimming and notched lapels. You get two looks with this coat, as the down nylon arms are removable. To style this black beauty, I had Vee Travels model Hayden put on a black camo waffle crew from Uniqlo, H&M blue jeans, a Tibetan Mask Bead Bracelet from Yuvi Alpert’s Men In Cities, black Express aviators and a pair of suede lace up ALDO mid-calf boots that he surprised me with.
Hayden’s signature mohawk style and ear piercings added the perfect edge to the overall look
Street Style: Stealth Color Blocking
In this week’s edition of OUT On The Street, I found a casually dressed Londoner named Pete Williams, who’s a Digital Creative Director in the advertising and experiential industries. Spotted on The Highline on his way home from work, his button-down shirt with a color block scheme on the elbow caught my eye. See the details of the look on Out.com, and check out more street style on Vee Travels.
