June kicks off a season of LGBTQ+ Pride events across globe to celebrate and honor the community, while also continuing the battle for rights and freedoms for all. The pandemic setback many Pride events for the past two years, and this summer will be a comeback for several American cities, such as Los Angeles.

Mud runs have been an ‘it’ thing to do for the sport enthusiasts and those who just want share photos of their dirty selves at the event on Facebook—not judging, I’d be doing the exact same thing…#mudrun. Men and women have been sliding around the mud (or newer variations like the cleaner foam run) for years now, in either very little clothing or festive costumes. You’d think someone would’ve thought of a gay mud run sooner, but alas it has arrived and is coming to New York this Pride season.
Out-Fit Challenge is booking itself as the first LGBT mud run, and the organization held its first event this past Miami Beach Gay Pride. What makes this event more unique than the obvious, is that the company provides proceeds of every dollar earned to national and local LGBT charity organizations.
