Chile Travel Photo Diary
I recently got to publish two stories on my travels in Chile on Travel + Leisure online, and was happy to finally see them live and be shared around. One was on reasons to visit the capital Santiago, and the other on Chilean cuisine throughout the country. After working on the piece and selecting photos for it, it made me want to share other moments I haven’t gotten around to sharing yet. How to Get Free Uber Airport Rides This Holiday Season
This holiday season through New Year’s Eve, you can get two free rides from the airport thanks to Uber and American Express!
While on my way back north from Miami today, I got an email from Uber about its new holiday promotion that grants users with an American Express credit card two free rides from various airports in the U.S. up to $65 each. I tried it out today, and it covered the entire cost of my trip from LGA to Grand Central. Once Upon a Time at Manchester Pride 2016: PHOTOS
After years of traveling to the England, I’ve finally got the chance to explore a city beyond London, and I decided to make it Manchester for its annual Pride weekend (known as The Big Weekend – and boy was it a big one!). Unsure what to expect when I arrived, I boarded my train from London after spending a week there (more to come on that), and arrived into the Manchester Piccadilly station. I followed the gaggle of gays that were on my two-hour train ride to make sure I was headed out the right direction, and my instinct proved me right. I was literally welcomed by a sea of rainbows flags at the station and in the city center.
A short walk down from the station (and really close to the Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre), was one of the entrances to the four-day Pride festival at the famous Canal Street (the heart of the gay village in the city). The Village is both party central for the festival weekend (and year-round for the community). Hundreds of the LGBT community were outside celebrating almost nonstop all weekend long. Earlier this summer I got to venture back to Amsterdam, and it was like a whole different place compared to my cold, rainy first time in the fall. Traveling with Gray Line Worldwide (which just recently released an inspo video on the destination – plus a contest!), we got to explore a lot of the city (and nearby the city) – both as locals do and as visitors might.
