Denim On Denim Travel Outfit
A denim jacket is a fall essential. It’s light enough for sunny days, and you can layer it for the cooler moments and nights. It also comes in handy for travels, as you can dress it up or down and make a lot of use of it. For arriving into Budapest earlier this month, I wore a denim on denim look. More below:
The only rule I have for myself when I plan to wear a denim jacket with a pair of jeans is to make sure there is some difference in the denim shades. I don’t always have it be too big of difference as they look here with my Ambig denim jacket and American Eagle straight leg jeans, but I like the difference to be somewhat noticeable. And I like to pair a standout color if I’m just wearing a solid tee or sweater under the jacket, or go for a fun print like this yellow and green camo design from Original Penguin.
I paired my denim outfit with two travel and style accessories that are always helpful to have: a pair of leather sneakers and a leather carry-on duffle. The duffle is from Johnston & Murphy, and it has a tumbled nubuck and spacious body with a large front pocket and a detachable shoulder strap to use as you like. Generic Surplus’ Champion low top leather and suede sneakers are simple, but versatile enough to wear casually with a denim look or can be dressed up for the office.
